Dissertation Services and Rates

What We Offer

Service 1: Dissertation Coaching

Best for: Students who need structure, strategy, and steady encouragement to move forward.

We meet regularly one-on-one, set realistic goals, and tackle obstacles together so your dissertation moves from idea to completed chapters. I bring accountability, feedback, some cheerleading, and a plan that fits your workflow.

$100 per 60-minute session

Sessions available individually or as part of a package below.

Service 2: Copy Editing

Best for: Students with complete or near-complete drafts that need professional polish.

I review your writing for grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, clarity, flow, and APA 7 alignment. You receive tracked changes with explanations alongside every correction, so you understand the edit and learn from it. This is not a quick pass. It is a thorough, thoughtful read.

$8 per page

Minimum 10 pages per submission.

Service 3: Format Editing

Best for: Students whose content is strong but whose document does not yet meet university formatting requirements.

I align your document to your university’s specific formatting guidelines: margins, heading levels, tables, figures, appendices, references, and page numbering. No more submission rejections over formatting errors. I work directly in your document and return it ready to submit.

$5 per page

Please provide your university's formatting guide or style requirements at submission.

Service 4: Proofreading

Best for: Final drafts that are submission-ready and need one careful pass before they go out.

A final read for typos, inconsistencies, and surface errors. This is the last step before you submit.

A precise final read for typos, inconsistencies, missing words, and surface errors. This is the last step before submission, not a substitute for copy editing. If your document needs more than surface-level attention, copy editing is the right starting point.

$3 per page

Minimum 10 pages per submission.

Service: Specialized Support for Students with Learning Differences

Best for: Doctoral students with dyslexia, ADHD, processing differences, or any learning profile that makes traditional academic writing approaches feel like they are working against you.

Traditional dissertation coaching assumes that every student processes information, organizes ideas, and produces written work the same way. They do not. For students with dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning differences, standard strategies often create more friction than they resolve. I build approaches that work with how your brain actually functions, not against it.

  • Structured note-taking systems designed for students who struggle with linear organization

  • Layered drafting approaches that reduce the cognitive load of producing a first draft

  • Reading strategies that improve retention without requiring re-reading entire texts

  • Breaking chapters into the smallest possible meaningful units so momentum replaces overwhelm

  • Verbal processing sessions, where you talk through your ideas before writing them, because thinking out loud is a legitimate academic strategy

  • Accommodations-aware coaching that works alongside any formal university support you already receive

  • A judgment-free space where your learning difference is treated as a variable to work with, not a problem to overcome

“ When I met Dr. Dyer, I was completely defeated and overwhelmed about finishing my dissertation. I was up against a hard deadline that threatened my standing in the program and had no clear direction on how to move forward. After just one session with Dr. Dyer, everything changed. Not only did I believe I could finish, I had a clear, actionable plan to get it done.”
